Text Box: Description Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix is a pre-blended dry mixture of cement, sand, and cement modifiers, to create a smooth working and durable texture mix for skimming and texturing over stucco base coats, masonry and concrete surfaces.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix is available in two forms designated as Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Smooth and Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Coarse.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix can be polymer modified with Unicoat Admixture 2000 to increase crack resistance, flexural strengths and speed curing process.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Smooth is designed to be applied by hand to achieve a smooth slick steel trowel look or a very fine skip trowel hand texture.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Coarse is designed to create a sand float texture or heavy Spanish lace textures.   Both products can  be sprayed applied to create different splatter and dash textures as well.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Smooth and Coarse can be used to repair and level one-coat and 3-coat basecoats as well.   Approved Substrates   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix can be applied over one-coat and 3-coat brown coats, masonry and concrete surfaces as well as old cement stucco finishes.   Mixing and Application   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix is mixed by adding 2 1/4 gallons of clean water into mixer then add 1 bag of Unicoat Skimcoat/Texture Mix into mixer. Let mix for several minutes and add water as needed for desired working consistency. After 4 to 5 minutes of mixing stop mixing, let product stand for 2 to 3 minutes, then re-mix for 1-2 minutes and remove from mixer.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Smooth can be applied in various patterns and textures but only up to ¼” maximum thickness.   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix Coarse can be applied in various patterns and textures but only up to ½” maximum thickness.   Curing   Proper moist curing of Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture for 48 hours is required. Finishes should not be applied for at least 7-12 days after application.   The addition of 1 qt. of Unicoat Admixture 2000 per bag will speed curing process to 48 hours for application of finish. It is also recommended when applying over masonry and concrete surfaces.   Coverage   Coverage of 60-100 sq ft can be achieved depending on substrate and type of texture being applied.   LIMITATIONS   Follow recommendations by finish manufacturers for proper applications. Proper curing is very important to the overall integrity of the system.   Warranties   Unicoat Skimcoat / Texture Mix  can be warranted for up to 10 years when applied by a certified applicator and all pertinent code requirements are fulfilled.   The sole warranty is replacement of materials used to correct defective material; no other warranties are either expressed or implied.     Somar Industries, LTD 264 N.
