Unicoat Three Coat Stucco is a pre-blended
dry mixture of cement, fibers, and cement
modifiers, to create a fiber-reinforced
conventional stucco base.
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco  
is available in two forms designated as Unicoat Three Coat Stucco Sanded and Unicoat Three Coat Stucco Concentrate.
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco can be mixed with Unicoat Admixture 2000 to increase crack resistance, flexural strength and speed curing process.
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco is designed to be applied in a two coat (scratch and brown) process following UBC or ICC requirements for the application of Portland Cement Plaster.
 
Approved Substrates
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco may be applied to a variety of substrates which include: exterior gypsum sheathing, plywood, OSB board, expanded and extruded polystyrene, cement boards, and all types of masonry surfaces.
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco  may be applied to open frame construction as per UBC or ICC code requirements.
 
Mixing and Application
 
First coat is mixed by adding 3 ½ gallons of clean potable water into mixer, add 7 to 8 # 2 shovels of clean mortar sand meeting ASTM C-144.   Then add one 80 lb. bag of Unicoat Three Coat concentrate into mixer, and remaining 7 to 8 # 2 shovels of sand. Total sand weight should be approximately 160 to 200 lbs. dry sand.
Let mix for several minutes and add water as needed for desired 
 
 
working consistency.
After 4 to 5 minutes of mixing stop mixing, let product stand for 2 to 3 minutes, then re-mix for 1-2 minutes and remove from mixer.
 
Apply Unicoat Three Coat Stucco  at approximately 3/8” to ½” thickness over metal reinforcement or masonry surface.
 
After Unicoat Three Coat Stucco has sufficiently hardened scratch surface using a scarfier tool horizontally.
Repeat mixing steps for second coat with the addition of ½ gallon more of water, and add 4 more number 2 shovels of sand.
Apply same method, do not scratch, instead float out wall with required float to level surface.
 
Curing
 
Proper moist curing of  Unicoat Three Coat Stucco for 48 hours is required.
Finishes should not be applied for at least 7-12 days after application.
 
The addition of 1 gallon. of Unicoat Admixture 2000 per bag, will speed curing process to 48 hours for application of finish.
 
Coverage
 
Coverage of 8-10 square yards.  per coat, will be achieved when mixed and applied as per specifications.
 
Limitations
 
Follow UBC or ICC requirements for proper lath, substrate and assemblies for this system.
Proper sand is crucial to the performance of Unicoat Three Coat Stucco.
Follow recommendations by finish manufacturers for proper 
 
 
applications.
Proper curing is very important to the overall integrity of the system.
 
Warranties
 
Unicoat Three Coat Stucco can be warranted for up to 10 years when applied by a certified applicator and all UBC or ICC requirements are fulfilled.
 
The sole warranty is replacement of materials used to correct defective material; no other warranties are either expressed or implied.
