Text Box: Description   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat is a 100% acrylic based adhesive and base coat to adhere and coat EPS foam to masonry, stucco, exterior gypsum sheathings, and E.I.F.S. surfaces.   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat can also adhere foam to primed metal and wood surfaces.  Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat must be mixed with equal parts of type I Portland cement.   Approved Substrates   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat  can be applied over new and old stucco, concrete and masonry surfaces, painted surfaces (flat finish), and all one-coat and three coat base coats.   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat should not be used in conjunction with any E.I.F.S systems.   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat can also be applied over exterior gypsum sheathings and wood and metal that are primed with a high quality latex primer. When applying over new stucco and concrete surfaces, it is always recommended that Make sure surfaces are clean before applying Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat .   Mixing and Application   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat is mixed by splitting one 60lb. pail into two 30lb. half pails. In each half pail add approximately 30-32 lbs. type 1 Portland cement, white or gray. Mix using a low rpm drill for 4-5 minutes or until lump free. Let stand for at least 3 minutes then re-mix for 2-3 minutes adding water for desired consistency. To adhere foam to substrate, apply adhesive using a     1/4”x1/4” notch trowel coating entire surface of foam area that will be adhered to substrate, press firmly onto foam as to get a good bond around foam perimeter. To apply reinforcing mesh apply an even coat approximately 1/8” thick over area and apply mesh over basecoat embedding mesh into basecoat while smoothing out wall, no mesh should be visible when complete.   Shelf Life   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat has a shelf life of 12 months when stored in a cool dry place away from extreme cold and heat.   Coverage   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat covers approximately 200-220sq ft per pail, depending on trowel and mesh used.   Limitations   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat must be applied to a clean surface free from all foreign matter, efflorescence, oil, dirt, and any other bond inhibiting materials.   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat should not be used in conjunction with any E.I.F.S systems.   Do not use Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat in extreme heat and in freezing conditions.   Painted surfaces should be at least several months old. All loose paint should be removed.   Warranties   Unicoat Vise Adhesive/Basecoat  can be warranted for up to 3 years when applied by a certified applicator and all     specifications were met.
